Number Served In 2009 Southeastern Youth and Family Services, Inc. served almost 300 children, including 56 adolescents in group homes, 44 First Time Juvenile Offenders, 144 middle school students, and 52 children in day care. History Southeastern Youth and Family Services, Inc. (originally Southeastern Wisconsin Homes, Inc.) was founded April 25, 1973 to provide group home care and group treatment that had been developed initially and run directly by the State of Wisconsin, State Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Family Services. In 1978, Southeastern was licensed as a child placement agency, and began providing direct social services to our clients and their families. Since then, Southeastern expanded its services to include AODA treatment and relapse-prevention and therapy services; an alternative middle school for behaviorally reassigned Milwaukee Public School students; and several specialized community-based programs.
